Day 1: ATL to Dallas, TX

soo.. finally came the day for this trip. i was so excited!! all the "planning" and the day came. we got up early in the morning and got our ride:

yep... 2007 nissan altima nice car and can't wait to travel with it :)

finally, all that's left was for us to hit the road and head straight to our first destination: Dallas, TX. inspected the car, all our luggages in, snacks, gps navigation, radar detector, ipod, everything ready! but... where was the key?!!! haha i cant believe that the key to the car dissapeared!! mugi gave it to vik and the next thing we know the key was gone! we spent like 30 minutes looking for it, drove back to north avenue apartments (where vik was picked up) and all hopes seemed lost.......... vik so confidently said "i couldnt find it! i checked all my pockets and my backpack!" only for him to pull it out from his pants pocket!!! argg!! thank God we found the key and so off we went! we left at 12pm after lunch.

It was an 11-hour, 780 miles drive across alabama, mississippi, and lousiana. Nothing much that I can say but it's pretty boring drive :) but when you're that long on the road, you're bound so see things like:

yes, i dont know about you but this is an artillery cannon and it was awesome :) the scenery during sunset was nice too:
















and with only 2 gas stops and 1 dinner break, mugi braved the long and windy road to clocked 780 miles from ATL to Dallas in 11 hours!! averaging and impressive 80 mph :) all by himself way to go my roommate! now you can brag to bc finally, haha (p.s. i gave up the chance to drive the last 300 miles for him to set this record)

tomorrow: tour dallas - aquarium and galeria (some sort of mall with ice rink) check back for more... its 1 am and we're dead tired....
